Unusual silky stuff in dark places

Hi everyone,

I was looking for my peppermint shrimp in one of his hiding places when I noticed his rock tunnel was covered in something that looked like clear hair algae. The length is all uniform and it is clear and has a shimmer to it. This morning I was checking out something else and noticed there is a lot of this stuff on the back of the rocks where it is dark.

Does anyone know what it is? I will try to post pictures soon.

Seriously though... pictures will probably help best!
 
It is really hard to get a picture of this stuff but have a look at these.

Hmm yeah I have little tube worms that use thin little spiderwebs to catch food, looks somewhat similar.... I was imagining something bigger.
 
I just busted out.laughing here in the Chinese restaurant. That was pretty dang funny!
