Upgrade advice.

How many have done a 'drag and drop' of your tank when upgading?

I plan to plumb new tank, test, etc,

Then take most of the water and all the inhabitants to the new tank. Making up the difference in volume with new saltwater. Anyone done this before? Any minicyle expected? Any lessons learned?

Going from 30 to 68 with 16 gallon sump.

I went from a 72 to a 220. Used all new sand and all new water. Got new tank filled. Matched the temp. Transfered livestock. 0 losses. Small diatom bloom. Never any ammonia or nitrite

did the same move from my 120 to the 265, everything worked out just fine.

This exactly in a 29-65gallon.
