Using cement in aquascape

Thinking of using white Portland cement and oystershell mix to attach the rockwork to achieve a single rock look vs a bunch of stacked pieces . Anyone ever use it ? I understand it has to cure for a month to stabilize the pH , but it will be at least a month before I can start to worry about pH . Any thoughts?

I've only ever heard of folks doing it. I'd really like you to try and let me know how it goes though! I know @ActiveAngel has made his own frags before, maybe he can lend some insight. If my memory is correct, @york1 was also doing something with cement a while ago as well.

The cement will drive the ph way up and will need to be cured in water for awhile. If not using to much it may be ok in a short time

Im a month out on adding rocks , should be enough time

A month should do it. Soak and do a complete water change whin ph gets high.
