This is looking to be a very nice build! Can't wait to watch it progress.
Beautiful setup! Cant wait to see it filled with coral & fish.
The beast is up and running!!! Def has some learning points as in don’t add sand after you have added the water and rock already. My cord management is the next task. This is really difficult because the only place to mount anything under the stand in on the very far end because both long side are all doors. My cords for not long enough in spots so this will be fun..........
So help question...... I have a bean animal overflow and only put a ball valve on the main drain and it’s loud as hell. Any suggestions on how to quiet it down. I have adjusted it to both extremes on the ball valve but nothing sounds better
What kind of loud? Gurgling? - that would be either inflow is to slow or drain is too fast.
Splashing? If splashing in the overflow - slow down the drain just a little so the level in the overflow is higher
Splashing in the sump? drain lines should be below water level except for the emergency - and no water should be flowing down the emergency unless there is a problem.
Is there any chance at all that you can replace the ball valve with a good quality gate valve? It will make a world of difference in your ability to fine tune. That is a lesson I've learned the hard way.

I have it on a union so I can change it. The sound is almost like a whistle sound
That's not normal. First - you're sure it's coming from your overflow and not a power supply or pump? Are all of your drain lines completely independent and not merged together at any point?
Do you have tops with hole drilled on the top of your drain pipes? I have 2 and each is setup sightly different.
1 has the full siphon and partial siphon 90 degree elbows facing up in the overflow with no cover or anything over them. They are at the same height.The emergency is also a 90 degree elbow facing up but is about 1/2" higher. It is dead silent.
The other has the full siphon and partial siphon 90 degree elbows pointed downwards and the emergency siphon 90 degree elbow pointed up. Again - dead silent.
The only noise I get out of either setupis gurgling if the siphon is open too much or return closed off too much - this creates gurgling and flushing. The only other noise comes from the sump if water is flowing down a drain that is not submerged. The only drain line that is not submerged is my emergency - if I hear water splashing in my sump I know something is wrong.
I’m using the synergy reef overflow. The lid on the top is so tight on there I don’t know how it even gets air inside it. That lid is a pain to take on and off tho so I haven’t done that

Get the Gate, set it and forget it. Once done you may make a change to it a few times a year. When you do it will be because a snail got in there or the pump needs cleaning.

Dang the are super expensive for and 1 1/2 drain! But I will take your advice thanks
One difference on my 2 setups are they are both coast to coast smooth overflows with the drains all drilled through the back of the tank. It spreads the overflow across a wider area. No splashing sound from the overflow area even when the level in the overflow is pretty low. The water just kind of cascades over the overflow in a sheet of water and is very quiet.
Drawback is - I have very little protection to keep stuff from going over the overflow and down the drain lines. I've had a 3" goby end up on my sump a few times.

My internal overflow is 60" long and has several 1/2" slits routed out. The only fish I've had make it to the sump via the water slide is a small wrasse.
I think mine was stuck in the overflow tube for at least a day once. I noticed the level went up in the overflow and there was more water going down the partial than normal. It had been like that from about the time I went to bed one night until late the next afternoon. Finally decided to open the valve on the full siphon - let things kinda equalize then readjust. After that is when I noticed the fish in the filter sock. I'm pretty sure he was in the overflow, probably stuck against the valve until I opened it all the way.
