UV heating tank

Can anyone tell me how UV is affecting their tank temp? Especially during the summer months. And I'm interested in hearing from those that are controlling their flow to reach the specified 336,000 uw/cm rating for controlling ich.

I just got finished installling an external return pump in order to pull heat OUT of the tank and now I'm looking at UVs, but I don't want to put too much heat back into the tank..

i've had a 40w gamma running for a couple of weeks now and have not noticed any temp change this is on about 180 gallons of water. still stays stable between 78-78.5 granted these are not summer months so no input for that yet.

I have not noticed ANY difference in heat in my 150 with a massive Emperor 40w on it. Then again, it IS winter.

it will do about the same as a 40w heater, so not much.
