:doh:Guys, I need a UV light i have 250gallon tank...what brand would u reccommend?

Emperor Aquatics. Choose your unit based on what size tank it can handle with a bulb down to 50% efficiency and you can't go wrong. I put the E.A. Smart HO 80w on my 200 total gallon system and have not had a single fish loss since.
FWIW- I had an Aqua UV 40w on the tank previously to that and lost the entire tank to a parasitic infestation.

You can't go too big on UV

It will add heat to the water column

Easy solution there is to either run it with a controller or a timer. The vast majority of copods enter the water column when the lights go out. Amphipods are usually big enough to survive it anyway. My UV shuts off at the start of my sunset program. My tank turns really hazy with Pods when they bloom each night.

Personally, always ran aqua uv and never have had ich or any other outbreak but do like emperor as well as seth noted..

Emperor is the only way to go; they're the best in the industry and then some.

Pods: plumbing can resolve pod termination..
