Vacation

So I will be tanking a week long vacation in August down to Ft. Lauderdale. My partner will be in India for 3 weeks while I am on my vacation. I have been thinking and pondering a lot on this subject to what to do for the tank for the week I am not here. I am paranoid that something will go wrong and BAM a crash without me being here to do any quick acting.

So I am thinking about setting up my 225g system earlier than planned. I will not have time to properly cycle the tank enough for my corals and such. What I am thinking is, finish up the stand and set it up. I buy the sand I need, put it in. I am transferring an 80g and a 30g all into it.
My question would be, If I transfer both tanks into it and not fill it up all the way with water, Instead of regular water changes (take water out and put water in once a week) to only put more water in once a week till the tank, sump, refugium is fully filled. Will this work? I would rig my current filtration system up till the tank got full and fully working with its own filtration system. Then an auto feeder for the week I am gone, and maybe a internet enabled controller to keep me informed while I am away.

I do not want to buy all the stuff I would need for two systems for me being gone only a week, to satisfy my paranoia.

I wouldnt do all that bobby, just hire a sponsor or con a really nice member to watch your tank while you are away. You dont want to half a** a tank swap - more of a chance of something going wrong with that than your current systems.
