Exotic Fish [Exit 22?] Interstate 75 in Valdosta. The address is 406 F Northside Drive. The telephone number is (229) 244-5910. I was there two summers ago on a short stop coming back from Florida. I'm not sure if they are still there; I would call first.

I found out about the place from Reggie whom use to work at Petsmart in Warner Robins, then Reggie moved to the Petsmart in Macon; then Reggie moved back to Valdosta and I heard he was working at a Petsmart in Valdosta. Reggie told me some time ago that he has been purchasing from Exotic Fish for many years and lost a fish after some years from a purchase from Exotic Fish.

Please post here to let me know how your visit went. If you have anything in particular you want, you may want to call ahead. Exotic Fish had both fresh water and salt water fish when I was there. My visit was great and I wasn't pressured to buy anything. In fact, the owner recommended me to check out the ARC website, and I have been 'hooked" every since.

P.S. The owners name is Jim Malone. Reggie told me that he has been getting "quality fish" from Exotic Fish for many years. Let us know how the visit went.

if they are open today I'm going to try and stop by. I tried calling this morning and no answer and no voicemail or recording.

Yep! Hours are listed on Facebook. They have been open since 1977. I don't believe you will be disappointed with the knowledge they have. No pressure to buy anything while I visited Exotic Fish two summers ago.

Their hours were 330 to 630. very nice gentleman owns the place. a lot of their tanks were dark with lighting turned off. he had more of a selection than my local store, but not an"atlanta" selection. he had a ton of freshwater and plenty of tanks, a lot were empty out had damsels. I don't know if that was because of it being late in the weekend our how he typically stocks. prices were competitive. some tanks had a lot of micro bubbles. don't know if that was an equipment issue our what. I ended up with a couple of frags that i can't get around here. he had a couple nice looking rise anemones. a couple of fatty mandarins. I saw some larger tangs without ich issues ( unlike local). he had some groupers, two large lion fish, and a couple others that i don't typically see around here.
