Like Dave said, nog is the skimmate, and neck turd is the solid stuff that collects in the neck. The term is used on the other large website, where I picked it up.

I'm pretty much outta room in my chalice tank now (on the rock). I'll have to stat putting them back on the sandbed. Don't want to, 'cause I have a yellow head sleeper goby.
