Im about to soak a 120g tank in a water/vinegar bath . How long should i soak it and how many gallons of vinegar should i mix with water.

I did around 5% on my 95 and really should have gone higher in hindsight. If I was to do it again, I'd probably do around 20% vinegar.

I soaked a 4' 120 gallon tank back in the day with about 3-4 gallons of vinegar, it worked well...It soaked for a few days before I got to wiping it down... The smell was horrible.

Mark I cleaned a tank recently with about a 60/40 (40 vinegar) using a spray bottle and a razor blade. Sprayed on the solution and waithed a few minutes and scraped off the build up with the blade. Worked fine.

If you go this route why not just use straight vinegar?

Im trying to clean an aga dual overflow. They are made out of plastic I figure im going to have to soak them for a few days?

Before I soaked my 75, it sat for a week with 1 gallon of vinegar and 75g the rest water. The coraline came off with a regular ole sponge after I drained it. If you've got time, that costs $2 for some Great Value vinegar and whatever you figure 74g of water costs on your utility bill.
