Carbon dosing is not new, as I've been at it for 4-5 years now changing my methods......

sulfur denitrators are still around. Dave uses one as do many....

I started with AZ-NO3, switched to V, then VSV, then VV, then Vodka & Bio-digest....

Currently, I have bio-pellets in a brs reactor (2 months or so), and I am trying to wean off Vodka.....Everytime I get to 5ml (current dose is 10), my tank starts looking blah.....dirty.....

But has the vodka reduced your nitrates? Or did it?

nitrates are at or below .5.............maybe get up to 1.0 max.

along with gfo, gac, skimmer my phates are around 0.028
