I have a big one. Been in my tank over a month. All parameters are good. But.. one half of him is just dying. Tentacles gone and rock wall turning white where there were. I dont want to loose the whole thing.

Should I dip or something? Any suggestions?

I was thinking of breaking off the dead piece of the 'wall' and then dipping him good.

I am sorry to hear that part of the colony is not doing well... when it comes to wall hammers/ bubbles, if a part of the colony is not doing well, then the whold thing tends to do poorly (unfortunatley).

My experience has been that LPS tend to do best in low/ med flow and medium light. If the colony is getting too much flow or too much light, I would suggest moving the entire colony to another part of the tank. After moving the coral, see if the good side of the colony opens up more than it currently is now.... if not, keep moving the colony till you find a good spot. Once you find a good location, hopefully the side of the colony that is doing poorly will start to come back.

I hope this helps!

Thanks. I have moved the colony and we will see. I didnt have a lot of flow in that area as i was afraid of beating it to death....
