Anybody using one of these? I bought two, one for the sump in the basement and one for the display tank upstairs. I have a pond liner basin under each so there is a place for water to collect. If it does, the water alarm will call my cell phone. It wont do me much good an hour away at work but if it happens at night or if I am in the neighborhood, it might help turn a big problem into a smaller one. They were $55 each. First picture shows the unit and the sensor screwed to the pond liner.

Why not put it flat on the bottom so the problem is addressed sooner rather than later?

Where did you get it?

Could it be configured to e-mail as well as call? Does it only work with "home phone lines" or what? I don't have a landline, only internet and cell phone.

For roughly the same price you can also get a WaterBug system from Smarthome that you could tie into a RKE or Apex. I havent hooked mine up yet, but will probably do something similar (sump room and tank room).

With the RKE or Apex, you'd get emails and texts.

I thought about putting it flat but sometimes a little water gets in there and it is no problem. If it gets this high, there is an issue.

I dont think it will do an email. I got it online at a place called Home Security Store.
