How often do y'all do water changes, and what percentage. What salt do y'all use I use red sea coral plus. How often do y'all feed

I do 15% waterchange every 1 or 2 weeks. Instant ocean salt. I feed coral and fish heavy daily. My system is 240 gallons total so there is plenty of coral to use up nutrients.

I do a 10-15% water change 3x per month. When I'm dealing with a nutrient or algae issue, I'm religious about doing the same amount 1x per week. My goal is 1x per week but usually it ends up being more like 3x per month and it's been that way since 11.13.2019 which is how far back my current log book goes. (I'm still broken up that my previous log was misplaced somehow.) I use Reef Crystals. I feed heavy, dose a balances 2 part solution, run ICP tests a few times per year and dose trace elements.

A problem I'm having is the tank clouds up honestly I think it's this Bs Kent coral food . And doesn't clear up unless I do a water change. I'm running a sump and a skimmer with one wave maker in a 150 gallon

I've actually been doing probably 30%every other week

Im lazy i do about 10 gallons a month with reef crystals. 200 gallon system
I guess i should add, this only works if i am able to control nutrients via refugium/gfo and dose correctly. If it gets a lil out of whack ill do about 20 gallons

I would change foods and see if the problem goes away. What you describe sounds like a bacteria bloom to me.

How long has your tank been running?

I would recommend an ICP water panel to see where your levels are.

Thing is I thought I was good my octopus tank never ever an issue stays crystal clear. I starting to think what I'm seeing is micro bubbles

I don’t know what to say. I’ve been in this hobby for decades and have found, like many others, you have to watch your chemistry. Some things more than others.

Here’s a basic test that costs $30 and shows you what the levels are. There is also a good description -
