Water and other questions

Depending on where you are located, I’m sure another member would help you with a water analysis.

I’d usually recommend a local fish store, but many are closed or limiting their activity due to COVID.

I don’t know what to say. I’ve been in this hobby for decades and have found, like many others, you have to watch your chemistry. Some things more than others.

Here’s a basic test that costs $30 and shows you what the levels are. There is also a good description -

I will order one this weekend for sure, eothway I think I found the problem definitely micro bubbles I'm looking at this sump the outlet is creating a crap tone of bubbling which is circulating back out in my tank

Got to find where the air is coming from. Could be low levels of water in the return pump section or maybe the skimmer bubbles passing into the pump section. I have had both happen to me. While the micro bubbles won't hurt anything it is aggravating to look at.

I have also had my wavemaker to close to the surface and sometimes it creates a vortex into it an creats slot of bubbles

Such a pain in The a...

After lights out take a flash light and look air in the water start at the pump and work backwards

Micro bubbles usually happen when air bubbles get chopped up going through a pump, or...

sometimes if there is a pinhole leak in a high flow water line, especially where the pressure drops.

Skimmers are notorious for being the culprit.

How long since you cleaned your skimmer?

Oh god I don't know just recently started using it. But I can see where the bubbles are coming out of , the right side water line that runs from the tank and flow into the sump
