So, I'm new to having a sump connected to my system. When I do a water change should I be taking it straight from the sump? Should I be taking it from the in chamber or the out chamber? Sorry for the silly question but I'm new! :D Thanks for your help!

You can take it from anywhere........ Depending on how big your system is, it wont make much difference. If you have a 100 sump hard plumbed in the basement then of course the sump, otherwise if you have a 65g tank with a 20 gallon sump under it, then it's just a matter of whats more convienant to you.

When I do a waterchange, I still use a vacuum the substrate lightly (if you choose to do this, research first, as I stress lightly vacuum</em>).

My tank is a 45g and the sump is 15g or so. I've been slacking a little on my water changes and my Nitrates are high so I wanted to do a bigger water change. What would you suggest in that event?
