So this is the second day now I have come home and my tank is full of air bubbles (tank setup is day 5) and my return chamber is very low. im not loosing water but can I be loosing this much due to evaporation?

tanks evaperate water pretty quick and many things can cause this

T5/halides
If tank is near an air vent
the amount of electroics that are in the tank

and the list just keeps going. An easy way to combat you water levels constantly being the same (which is good for you corals) is looking in to a ATO (Auto Top Off) JBJ ATO units are the most common and easy to use.

yeah I just ordered another ATO. I have one on my QT tank. Just seemed like a lot. I need to take a few more pics then start a build thread.
