Weird looking plant like on snail

Something weird is growing on one of my snail's shell it looks like a coral maybe but I really cannot tell what it is.
Can animals grow on a snail's shell?

It is very hard to tell from the pictures. I agree it looks like a feather duster but I would also look up what majano and ball anemones look like to be sure it is not one of them.
