Well I came home last night and noticed my 30 head acan colony all dead and up side down. Looks like it got knocked over onto a small acro frag. Acro frag is dead and so is my acan colony....sad. I grew that bad boy out from 1 head.....ugh.

Oh and Keith that small acro colony was one of yours man....sorry about that, as you know my tank is FULL and it was only a matter of time before some corals got pushed around. I have some other acro frags for you though man so no worries.

Thanks for listining, just needed to express my loss, my wife doesn't jive with my reef so she doesn't know what it feels like to lose a 3+ year old underwater animal.

no, it does not. And the fact that i'm not here during the week to find this stuff makes it worse. The colony just sat on it's face for a couple days i bet.

I lost a three head frag against a ricordia shroom. One head got stung, and it slowly spread, killing the whole thing. Sucks.

Sorry to hear Jason.
Don't worry about my stuff. Remember you are doing me a favor buddy.

Sorry to hear, I hate it when that happens. I had a 6" monti get knocked onto a large frogspawn a few months ago. Frogspawn wasn't bothered, the monti died within hours.

so did the acan colony get attacked by the acro colony when it fell on it?????

i didn't think that'd kill a colony, but then again what do i know. i'm sorry for your loss!!!!! acan's are my favorite.

how long do you judge it was upside down?

Well it must have been upside down for a couple days. But it was not all the way over, the small acro kept it from being all on it's face. The acro lasted longer than the acan did.
