I'm new to SW, and am going through the process of cycling a 75 FOWLR. Later, when the financial sting has worn off, I'm planning to start some equipment upgrades to go to a reef tank with it.

I joined this forum on the recommendation of FlyingArmy, who is a relative.
I also will be becoming a real ARC member before long.

There. That's the intro. Now to go pimp myself out so I can buy another 40lbs of live rock... :)

Welcome. The ARC forums are a great source of information for the saltwater enthusiast. Whatever questions you may have, they can be answered by someone here. Becoming a member of ARC is quite beneficial as well including getting club discounts at many LFS. That in itself is worth the cost of the membership. Hope to see you around.

Thanks! I just did a search to make sure Mark's little trip was open discussion, and it seems it was, so I'll say this: Without seeing him every Sunday like I have been, I picked a stinky time to take up SW!

I hope a noob isn't unwelcome to shop for LR on the buy/sell/trade board... I'm about money'd out right now but I need to get it all in there so I don't start another cycle (it's only been about ten days). Man, I feel like I'm cramming for a test... I guess I am.

I'm new around here too. I guess not the newest now though. There is IMHO no bad time to set up a new tank :) as far as joining ARC; i went up to a couple sponsor stores Saturday and already saved the subscription fee. My wife didn't see it that way though.

Welcome!! Don't worry about being a noob. We all had to start somewhere at sometime. Everyone here is a great member and very helpful (except me)

I owe Mark big time,
let me know if you need help with anything, I def. have some live sand for you (courtesy of Flying Army) and a micro clean up crew (brittle stars, bristles, etc) and some Chaeto if ya like - just holler...

Robb

Welcome wish I'd found the ARC before I started. Lots of helpful people around here. I still ask stupid questions and don't feel stupid.

This is going to get fun!!

I think Mark left a cople of pounds of live rock at my store for you.

Where is your store located? *Never mind, I figured out how to use the sponsor forum.* I'd like to get out there some day, but that's a heck of a drive, so it may take a while. I've only dealt with AniMart in Austell (I've known the owner for years through my bird habit) and Saltwater City, who I've been using because my wife passes Sal's store on the way to work. I didn't know he was a sponsor at the time.

Welcome to ARC.
I have been at it for a year and a half...and I am still a noob!:)
Always more to learn. This is a much deeper hobby than most people think.

But thats part of what keeps the fire burning!

Enjoy!
