What about a Euro brace?

I have to remove the trim on a 220 to tend to some business and was wondering that instead of putting the trim back on if i could euro brace it to get the rimless look that i would like to have and it still support the tank when it is up and running? Thanks for the help as always.

Yeah i thought i saw it on an elos brand tank and that is where i got the idea from.

So far it is still my plan to do this but i have had some other people tell me that if it was them than they would not do it. But i have also had a really good friend that owns a lfs tell me that it will be 100% fine. So just a little nervous.
