I always tough that chalices needs dirty water too, guess I was wrong. :confused2:
They do, just with chalices they their pars stable without any big swings as well as having the light not to intense.
While zoas can handle bigger swings and adjust pretty fast tho their surround par levels in their environment

I don't think zoanthids love dirty water, I think they can tolerate dirty water.

Giving someone (who is obviously new to this hobby) advice to keep their tank dirty because zoas like it and are part of the clean up crew is horrible advice. I think that the OP should buy a few books on beginning a marine aquarium and read them cover to cover several times before even thinking on starting one. Read over the forms and figure out what your final expectation is in your tank and then devise your plan. If you have problems or questions with you plan, then ask for help on a forum such as this one. ARC is full of experienced SW enthusiast with a plethora of help.
No one with any level of experience will encourage you to keep your tank on the dirty side. We are responsible for the lives of living objects and because of this we should educate ourselves with as much knowledge as possible.
A good book I read years ago before I got my first tank was the "Saltwater Aquarium for Dummies" book. It gives a very broad description of all things basic in this hobby.

Problem here is that there is no good</em> way to distinguish between who knows what they are talking about and who has no idea.
Ultimately the responsibility lies with the reader to do his/her own research and decide what is true and what is false. There's good and bad info just about anywhere you look on the internet.
There was a recent proposal for a badge that would be awarded to people who generally give good advice, people who's advice can be trusted.
I think I was a little over-critical when it came down to the details of how to go about doing this, and may have de-railed the discussion. I will attempt to revive the proposal.

I've always thought something like this should exist.
So would these guys make a pretty addition to my refugium? I want my refugium to be a mini display tank. As well as doing the refugium job.... ive got the display tank ran to overflow into my refugiim the the refugiim overflows to another tank underneath it for my sump.
