Ok. I have noticed some of my could are not opening up all the way. They started this towards bedtime last night. But here's the kicker. It's only my pulsating xenia, zoas, and my plate. My mushrooms and frog spawn are looking better than ever. My phosphate is 0. My nitrite is 0 ammonia is 0, ph is 8.2, dkh is 10 and calcium Is low. Is the dkh what's causing this sudden change or is it something else? The diatoms are going away and I run 3 175 watt metal halides. I did change them to 20 k from 15 k. Would this cause a change? Or should I try moving them around?

my guess would be that the change in light pissed them off a little and its nothing to worry about.

+1. If it goes on for more than a couple of days, or you start to notice any tissue recession, than i would start to look for something else.

They seem to be opening up much better today. At least the zoa had. The pulsating xenia may just be pissed period he keeps getting moved from the turbo snails

Yeah . You'll definitely have to dose some calcium and probably something for alk if you start adding more coral..might want to consider some sort of reef salt

What's your nitrate at? (It wasn't listed - just curious).

The lighting change could annoy some stuff for a few days, as was mentioned above. Keep an eye on stuff. If it's just closed for a few days, that will probably resolve, but if you see anything degrading/receding, that's more cause for closer scrutiny.

That shouldn't be cause for concern, then.

Keep an eye, let us know how it goes.
