What eats coraline algae

What is your Cal. & Mag. levels? That sounds unusual to see it growing at a rate that you need to scrape every other day.
BTW, just curious...what Salt do you use? I ask, because I am thinking of selling my 5gal bucket of Instant Ocean and trying Red Sea. Tired of dosing so much.

:lol2:Can't win can we? I've had 2 cleaner wrasse in my tank (separate times of course), both ended up missing! I haven't a clue what happened to either one of them. Same thing with my perfectly marked, highly colorful Green Manderine!:mad2: Still to this day have no idea what happened to those 3 fish. No remains...NOTHING! Starting to wonder if my nem ate them. After seeing the thread where a guys nem started eating his Tang that was as big as the face of the nem.

cal stays at 460,never have tested for mag.i use instant ocean salt.

i have mostly soft corals, duncan, superman monti, orange monti and a clam

Tuxedo urchin will eat it, but it will likely eat it off your rocks first and take forever to make any progress.

Instead, buy this:

You glue it onto your mag scraper and it makes cleaning coraline very simple & quick.

I wish I could get my Cal to stay at 460. Even dosing I'm good to get it up to 420. Mag. same type of deal, 1150 or so is the highest I've seen mine. Would like to see it higher so that I get Calcification. That's why I might try a bucket of Red Sea or Salinity to see if I can get those concentrations a little higher at W/C, and then be able to maintain it with less dosing that I am now.

The only thing I add to my system besides food is, I drip about a gallon a day of Kali to help make up water loss

Yeah I have read up about Kalk to help maintain the level. Might have to look into trying that while I use up the rest of this 5gal of I/O salt.

What types of coral do you have

Not well, seems to recede a little more each day. I'm bummed. I did move it up from the sand bed to about 2/3rds up and turned off my main P/H and turned one of my smaller ones towards it (but not blasting). Everything else seems just fine.

Not a whole lot actually:
-Colt Coral (had since it was about an inch long, now about the size of a childs hand
-Mushrooms (greens/purples)
-Frag of Zoas, and one decent size colony
-Duncan Frag w/2 heads and a baby head
-Toadstool Leather Frag w/2 heads
-2 small patches of Xenia
-GSP Frag (maybe 50 polyps)
Can't remember the name of the other one (Redish outline lip with small tentacles, bright green center with a mouth. Probably 10 or so heads now about the size of a nickle each.

So these are all small Frags as I like watching stuff grow.
