What is going on with my zoa?

A few of my zoas have this. It looks like a polyp turned into a cocoon, for lack of a better description. Anyone know what’s going on here?

I think it’s just a sponge growing in the middle of your zoas. Lol. Not a cacoon

perhaps a pineapple sponge; but I’d like a better photo before making any conclusions

Ya thats a sponge harmless. I dont like em in my DT so i remove them

Pineapple Sponge. You can see it's distinctive osculum in the photo. Benefitial.
