What is going on?!?!?

Ok so My tank has been going since June and everyone else is doing great in my tank, fish/corals....except two.....

One of my Candy canes has a red mark on it......???

And my Duncan has been tucked away for a week now, and hasn't opened up and I am worried....... I have pics of both......HELP!!!!

I have the same candy cane as you, and it took me a year to make that thing happy. At the end, it loves 24" depth with t5 lighting. I've never seen the red and my first thought was also cyno, but i can see the lines of the coral in it too, idk if that's transparency or the actual coral. +1 on what barbara said though about the water params. I honestly don't test my water too often, but I watch my coral, if I saw what you're noticing I'd want to know where everything was, and I'll bet you'll find the problem.

Thanks both of you for your input! First thing tomorrow I am getting my water checked and have a water change on my agenda for tomorrow, regardless as to what the water reads....... I hate that my corals are not happy.......:sad:

Hey ecreel. I have my candy cane under leds and they are just fine. Try to blow off the "red" spot i havent seen that before (if it doesnt blow off) on the duncan move it away from flow for a few days. Ive noticed that they close up when theres a lot of flow on them when they are small. Also when i had the duncans in my frag tank on the bottom they didnt open that much. I moved them to the frag rack and they opened. Im guessing more light?? I know people that have them higher up in the tank. This is all my opin. And assuming tank parms are good. Lmk if u need any help im not far from u.
