What is growing on my overflow?

I have some sort of beige colored growth on my overflow. I thought it would simply wipe away but it has a crusty / firm texture like the Coraline around it.

Hard to tell in that pic but coraline comes in many forms. It may just be another type of coraline.

Mine had everything imaginable growing on/in it.
I cleaned it real good (syphioned it out) and put a hydro mini in it that runs 24/7.
It's not spotless but looks pretty good 6 months later...
