what is growing on my snails

thanks for all the suggestions. I got them cleaned up. (thanks acroholic) i'm hoping that I don't see anymore of that stuff in my tank

No. Not at all. You were the one that put words in the OP's mouth, not I. I read that he intended to "chunk" the snails, I offered to take them in. Nothing more, nothing less. When I saw that statement it bothered me is all, and I offered what I considered to be a more humane option.

I can't really see how the statement could have been interpreted any other way - around here, "chunk" seems to mean "throw out".

Anyway, I'm glad OP got the snails cleaned up. All's well that ends well.
