So instead of making a new thread everytime I find some strange thing or whatever in my tank I'm just going to put it here. And yes, if you saw the title and a certain song came to mind 100 internet to you.

WTF is this stuff? It's red and until now didn't have little strings coming off of it. Cyano?

Yeah I would say cyano. Could also be dinos but looks more like cyano to me

Acans are a sore subject for me since I've always had issues keeping them. When they seem unhappy in a specific spot, I give them a day or two to get used to it but then I move it. Could be just about anything, really. Something external like a bit more/less light or a bit more/less flow. Give it a beat and move it to see if it helps at all.

That's the downside with a tank this big. Many of the corals i keep are down low so moving things usually involves me getting shoulder deep in it.
