Can someone identify what this is and advise what is the best solution for controlling it? I have no idea what it is. But I doubt that I should have it. Thx for the help.

If you can, take the whole rock out and boil it, or filefish if you can find one at the LFS. They spread really fast.

Unfortunately it has already started to spread. The rock has some coral on it and boiling and the filefish will wipe them out. Along with some shrimp. But my options may be limited.

take the rock out and use neadle nose to remove the nim and sum or the rock there atached to use sum 2part epoxy in the spots to be safe . you can also try injecting them with kalkwaser

wait.. it COULD be majano... ive never seen 1 that color though.

when you touch it does it slowly contract or is it quick?

It almost looks like a leather to me too... just can't tell from the pic
