What is it?

I saw this on the rock when I placed in my tank. It was way back inside of the crevice. A couple days later it started moving out of the hole. Now it's sticking out like this. I'm not sure what it is... can anyone help? I thought it was just some coralline algae but that does move like this has.

It's hard to tell. Did you use dry or live rock when u set up ur tank?

I touched it and it's hard as a rock. Kinda like bone.
