ive got this stringy spider web looking stuff in my tank
its all over my rocks and some floats around


i dont have a way to take pics at the moment but i will try to post some tomorrow
 
Are they coming from any certain hole or opening? Can you get a pic?

Yep. If you can fit a syringe in them then nuke them. If not the just remove the rock if you can. I have heard of people super glueing the hole shut.

I've only had one (which arrived on a frag plug from some kind soul). That's what I did, and it was history. The zoas grew over the tube after a while.

They are. Just irretating to nearby coral, your eyes and the fish the web gets on. You could use them as a sign of to much organics in the water column. It takes awhile but better flow and water quality can thin them out and keep them under control
