What is this?

I have no idea what this is growing in my wife's nano (the reddish lettuce looking stuff growing on the rock below the power head). It's almost lettuce looking, and keeps growing. It doesn't seem to be hurting anything. Any ideas? Should I pull it off?

It's a macro algae... not sure what kind. Probably won't hurt anything unless it becomes invasive. Depending on your tank size, a tang might devour it.

Sorry - read the thread before my coffee this morning - missed the "nano" part - so yeah, tang wouldn't be a good fit there...

No Tangs:fish:in the nano.
I may yank the rock out and put it in my 135, plenty of tangs in there, why let it go to waste. It's starting to grow around the power head.
