What is this?

Just got this thing out after lights out with a flashlight. Best picture I could get.
It looks like a snail with a half shell. What is it and do I need to get rid of it?

Stomatella snail, so good thing.
Cool another helpful hitchhiker! I've been really lucky so far with those.

It's a stomatella snail. They are a beneficial clean up crew member.

Fun fact: It leaves it's tail behind wiggling when frightened to distract potential predators.

yeah that's really cool! I've been really lucky with all the hitchhikers I've had so far. Nothing detrimental yet. So I guess it's coming soon. lol
Or maybe the GHA is punishment enough...

I can't tell from the pic. But if it's semi-translucent, it's a Stomatella.

Definitely a stomatella. I had a small army of these guys in my nano at one point. Free CUC!
