Won this in a raffle a while back. Does not look like a "normal" heater. Is it specific to maybe an all in one tank? Any clues? Thanks.

I think you can, it was just made to slide around the intake of one of the Smart Filters for efficient heating.

Fits as intake tube to all RENA SmartFilters and RENA FilStar XP1 through XP4 Canister Filters, or by itself as a conventional heater. Allows for a less cluttered aquarium and more even heating in one integrated system.

they are great you attach it to the suction side of a canister filter so water is heated as it passes through the inlet. i love mine it will blink red when temp level is off. mines on a rena xp4.

I have a couple of those myself. One in my 65 gallon upstairs and another smaller one in my 20 gallon now QT. I did have 2 upstairs but it started leaking electricity...so out it went. But I did run it for close to 2 years before it started flaking out on me.

Overall, I like the heaters myself.
