What par for a frag tank?

What par should I look for at the bottom of a 12inch deep frag tank?Its going to be a mixed frag tank but will need to handle sps as well. Just trying to figure out how high to hang my light?Im going to use a par meter to get the right par instead of guessing.

Why not make the light adjustable? Sunlight supply sells the "bungie" hangers that work very well. It's what I use.

I have a 4'x2'x12" frag tank with a single 400W Radium 20k over it. there's a frag rack in the middle of the tank so I can blast certain SPS in the middle but still keep lower light coral off to the sides with no problem.

I'm getting 450 par or so at the frag rack and down to 125-150 off to the extreme sides. Seems to work well.

It will be adjustable.I just want to make sure Im not getting too much parr so 300-400 a good number to shoot for in the middle of the tank?
