I recently purchased a 75 gpd 5 stage plus RODI system from BRS. Wondering what the in water pressure should be to properly run the system. I have the pressure guage on there but water coming out of the DI canister is more or less just dripping out. Any suggestions?

Most are designed to operate at 55 psi. So that would be 75g/day at that rate. If your psi is higher than that, the amount that the unit will provide goes up accordingly. My AWI unit runs at 80-90 psi and produces about 50 gallons every 6 hours even though it's a 100 g/day unit. I'm getting nearly double.

yeah i thought my house pressure was only 65 but the other day i hooked up an inline gauge and im running 105psi........ i can fill a gallon milk jug in less than 10min... its only 2 months old and my membranes are already looking gross... oppps! :P

Hmm, that's about how long it takes me to fill a gallon (just over one game of Deathmatch in COD MW2 if the kill limit isn't reached, lol) with my 150gpd RO/DI and half the water pressure, so it seems about right.

Right, but double the water pressure so double the output. If you put my unit on your house, you could expect to fill that gallon in 5min.

true, but what i saying isnt that bad?? arnt i pretty much forcing the water through the membranes to hard? i feel like its doing more harm than good with higher pressure. i dont think they would set a pressure rating on them just so somthing wouldt blow out? im sure that has something to do with it, but just a thought
