So, I've been toying with the idea of going to T5 for a bit now....not sure if I'll regret it, or if I'll ever do it...but just checking to see what bulbs you T5 people are using. Brand name and bulb name please. So my tank is 55x24x24...would you go with a 6 or 8 bulb setup? I'll most likely be going ATI if I go T5...get rid of my canopy and just have an open tank. I have a pretty good mix of corals, SPS, LPS and softies. Thoughts..comments...concerns. Thanks!

ATI mostly
The FIXTURE makes a huge difference
An 8 lamp powermodule will grow anything you want to at 24"

Yes, but what bulb combos? I know there are only really 5 to choose form....any certain ones you like better?

A while back reefgeek did a $10 sale and I went in some other members I picked up:

1 x 39 w Indigo Sun
1 x 39 w 75-25 Aqua Blue
1 x 39 w Super Actinic
1 x 39 w 454 Blue

for a 40 B.- the tank looked good to the eye, but it was/still is empty.

I really like ATI Blue+ and ATI Purple Plus and I use them as supplement to AI Sol.

I am using a outer orbit fixture with

Geismann True Actinic

I have an ATI sunpower 6 bulb fixture with...
4 - Blue plus
1 - Purple plus
1 - Coral plus (recently changed from a GE 6500)

Awesome, thank you everyone for sharing! Now to try to come up with the money for that ATI....eesh.

ATI Powermodule 10x54 over my 185g with mostly ATI lamps and a KZ thrown in here or there. Best lamps on the market, you can't go wrong with them.
