What The Heck Is This

I've been having algae issues with a single piece of rock and over the past few weeks this has developed on it. This stuff is soft like a macro and fuzzy. It's the most neon green you can imagine. Thought it was a sponge at first but now it appears to be of plant origin. Anybody have an idea? My camera stinks by the way.

Interesting, I have a baseball sized rock of that very same algae. You are right, it is quite bright!

I would be more worried about the algae growing at the base of it and around it..

Yeah, kind of looks like that Bryopsis!

That stuff will come and go - it never seems to grow much more than what you have pictured.

And yeah, I'd be a bit more concerned about the surrounding algae.

Nah....just some remaining HA and dead HA. Quit trying to scare me guys Been running a PO reactor for a couple weeks and it's finally getting results. Picture was taken before I siphoned the rock so it looks pretty bad. Weird how this one piece of rock got covered with HA and nothing else in the tank had any.
