What to do with live Brine?

I have bought a bag of live Brine in the past, but I was home to feed my fish over the weekend. Well this time I am heading out of town for a few days.
What can be done to keep them alive? Can they go in my fish fridge, will they stay alive? Or just keep them on the counter in the jar I have them in?

They will live longer in a fridge, usually a few days, depending on how fresh they are.

Covered or uncovered? Or just cap setting on top? Told my wife to use them once per dy, then other food the rest of the day. I instructed to poor the container over the fish net. Then dip the net into the DT. So she should be g2g, but was hoping to use them up before dying off. Only $3 so not overly concerned.

I always rinse the brine off with fresh water before feeding, just to get any trash & 'coodies' out :yuk:

To be honest, I have no idea... are these buggers salties or fresh water? I didn't like the thought of just popping them in my tank either...but shoot, a quick rinse with RO/DI shouldn't hurt. Not like they last 10 seconds anyway.
I think I add that to the SOP for her. She aught to just love that.

I used to have a culture of them on my back step at home. For 2 1/2 years. No filtration, aeration...they self-sustained on algae that the sun grew. Froze over in winter, came back to life when the weather warmed up.

They are saltwater critters.

My culture crashed after a LOT of rain that overflowed their bucket and dropped the salinity too much.

Brine is a higher salt concentration than sea water is.
