I bought some stainless bone cutters to frag corals. I thought stainless would not rust? Anyway they need to be cleaned good and the rust removed. Any easy tricks to clean these up? Thanks in advance.
All stainless steels will rust. Thus the stain "less" not stain "proof". Different steels have different amounts of chromium which is what resists corrosion (sorry, I am a steel geek aka knifemaker). You can use scotch bright pads as suggeted, steel wool, or very fine sandpaper. After using in the tank, rinse with tap or rodi water then dry really well and you should be fine. Saltwater eats up any steel. The cooking spray idea sounds cool too.
If you soak high carbon steel (non-stainless) in white vinegar it will form a cool dull grey coating that is rust resistant. Great way to protect high carbon non plated tools. You can also smear plain old yellow mustard on the metal and do the same thing but slower.

Lol! You ARE vindicated! Never underestimate the mustard. You can eat a spoonful of mustard before bed to get rid of leg cramping at night too. Self Mustard Dosing! I thinks thats how it works. Maybe you could smear it on your legs and see if it works?
Edit:
