What is the smallest and/or cheapest Tunze pump that will work on a 7091 controller? It'd be for a tank in the 10-24 gallon range, and would likely be the only powerhead in there. Sand is "special grade" reef sand so there's not too much worry about sandstorms like there would be with finer grades of sand.

I had two of the 6055's in my Oceanic 30 cube with Seaflor substrate. I had no problem with them and the sand bed. One was operated by a 7091, the other was set low on the transformer.

Happy with them? It'll either be one of those pumps on a 7091 controller, or a Vortech MP10, I can't decide, but at the price of those, unless I find a good deal on a used one, it'll be the Vortech.

Thanks!

Tunze makes great pumps...however I think the 6055 is the same size as the 6025, which in a small tank is kinda big. The Vortech may be the way to go if you want a lower profile pump.

Yes, but I'd like to mount it on the back of the tank, and since this is an AIO with a back chamber, I'd have to make my own dry dock for a Vortech MP10.
