It is simply laying on the bottom breathing looks labored. No sign of ick or anything like that and no aggression that I have seen. He has not been eating well and now he has large white spots.

Is it fatal? I first noticed it when I did a water change a couple of hours ago. I'm not sure if he was that way before I started the change but the pump was off for 25 minutes or so.

It was 10% and the temp didn't change noticeably.

I had to leave for graduation so there is nothing else I can do for now.

How long have you had it.Was it eating some type of seaweed.Reason I ask, they can go a few months without eating seaweed or veggies, but then there immune system will weaken and die..

Definitely stress pattern. The question is, "Why?"

Sometimes they freak out a bit when new activity happens in the tank.

How is he doing this morning?

Sadly no. I'm not sure what caused the trouble. No other fish showed any signs of stress.
