Over the past week my tank has a few spots on his tail that look like were damaged by something. I haven't noticed any aggression going on. Notice the semicircle spots missing from his tail.

Any ideas?

Flame Angel, yellow tail damsels, clown fish, corals, anemone golden banded, cleaner shrimp. Most aggressive is the flame Angel but the two of them have always gotten along well but since my last post I saw him chase after the tang once. I'll keep a closer eye on those two.

Not sure of the cause but it should grow back with no problem. Other than that, the fish looks healthy.

They are a bit territorial but only small spots. Still potential. Just need to keep a close eye.

I recently nearly doubled their food so I doubt that is the issue but I try not to over feed. 1 cube of frozen every other day with marine algae in between (most days).

My bet is on the Damsel. Had a blue in my 60 gal, harassed my yellow tang, bit his fin. He got fin rot so I put the damsel in my QU, Healed right up. Needless to say I no longer own damsels :) My guy would always be skittish, hiding in the rocks etc. Since I removed the damsel, hes been much better! He even lets me hand feed him :)

Thanks for everyone's advice. I'm going to keep an eye on them and see if I can determine the culprit before taking further action.

try and check the tank at night to see if the tang is trying to sleep where the damsels are sleeping, I notice sometimes my tang will roll up on a sleeping damsel and the damsel gets very territorial
