I need to rig my current refugium to fit a filter sock that measures 26" x 3". The water goes over a glass divider and under another. I wanted the sock to go in between the 2 panes of glass. Ideas welcome!:D

I suggest a sponge that you rinse regularly. You'll never be able to do this with socks inbetween sump baffles, IMO. I may have another suggestion, however. Let me take a pic and I'll post it.

Here is the picture. This is a piece of 4" ID PVC attached to a PVC toilet bowl flange. A standard 3" filter sock fits inside this perfectly. Drill lots of holes at the bottom of the tube for water to exit. Do this and you can have the water entering your sump pass through sock, accomplishing the same thing you want to do do. I use this one in my system to catch any fines in the output from my carbon and GFO reactors. Have the total height of the pvc pipe/toilet flange an inch or so below the level of your sump in case the sock ever overflows. I bought the pipe in a 2 foot section and the flange at Lowes.

Great idea! Especially for those sumps without sock holders.

My setup is very similar I have that area filled with a section of cut filter floss padding that I just change out.

You can also go to hobby lobby or another craft store. Get some felt and make some custom socks via a sewing machine

Yes works pretty well, also used nylon mesh and sewed a bag with a cotton draw string ( mostly used them 5 lbs of hops to the fermenting vessel for dryhopping at the brewery.)
Please make sure to check that there the material has not been treated with flame retardant, I don't know of it happening but some people have said that it's happened to them
