Tonight was the first time I was able to capture some of the Clown fish fry that hatched. :yay:

Since I did not think they would survive I did not prepare a food supply. Does anyone know where I can get some live rotifers and food to feed the rotifers?

I put some Roti-Feast in the tank; however, I recently read that they only eat live food. Is this correct?

Thanks

The fry wont take to the rotifeast and will only pollute your growout. Your right they need live prey. The fry normally have a 2-3 day reserve to keep them alive without food, but i have found you need to start feeding the morning after they hatch or you'll end up with a high mortality rate. Rit sells rotifers , id give him a call (atlanta aquarium).. you can also check with budsreef, jamescook, jjocean, lifestudent and the other breeders on the site if they could give you a starter culture. But if your fry have already hatched and you dont have rotifers right now, id wait on your next batch to raise them... they need alot of rotifers to stay alive.

if your desperate i could ship you a starter batch.. congrats and keep us posted..

ditto
get your cultures going strong before your next hatch. You are welcome to come by and i'll give you a crash course and a culture.

Thanks everyone!

I will take your advice and focus on the next batch. Now that i know what to look for, i will be much better prepared.

Thanks again!!
