I have realized during the past 9 years in the hobby I have kept my alk at different levels...as high as 12 and as low as 8. Where do you keep yours? Yes I dont have them all listed, but this will give a rough example and hopefully shed some insight to some new comers. Feel free to post what you keep in your tank too...sps, lps, softies, mix.

dont forget that there are 3 diffrent units used to measure alk. im assuming you're talking dkh here but i use seachems kit and it measures alk in meq/l and i try to keep mine at 3.5 meq/l but i havent tested in forever so i dont know what it actually is right now. but when you convert it to dkh its at 9.8 so ill just say 10 as well. heres a calculator for anyone that needs it.

Yes, dkh with those numbers. Thanks for providing the conversion link

Mixed Tank. Dosing two part in a 120 gal and doing a 10 gallon waterchange every seven days hovers around 11.5 using the hanna checker
