Spent the day building a stand for my QT and moving it from the dining room table to the laundry room. Can you believe my wife had a problem with a QT tank in the middle of the table in the formal dining room? Women. Can't live with them, nuff said! Where is your QT set up?

did you remind her she already said yes to a tank in the "man cave"

Edit: you forgot to have LFS on it to vote

Mine is right next to the DT, which makes it easy to do water changes from one to the other. This way I can match the water parameters so when QT is over no need to acclimate, just net and toss in the DT. But at the moment my QT is a Banggai nursery.

I keep it running in the garage with a few frag tanks.
I keep a few small bags of matrix (porus white rocks) in my frag tank sump and 1 in the Qt tank. With a few small pieces of live rock. I take the rock out and leave in the bag of matrix when I add a fish then I keep a eye on the fish and treat as needed for few weeks then add in my tank. Then clean the tank replace with another bag matrix and start all over :thumbs:Qt is fairly cheap and worth the little xtra$ to keep my main tank clean. I have a 20 gal tall with a aqua50 filter (cheap and has foam filter, carbon bag, matrix rock or purigen so the bacteria can build up in the 3 stage filter) a 100 watt heater and stck on temp. Strip the cheap hood and.light that came with the tank.

All of my qt tanks keep getting mantis shrimp tossed in them, so right now I have none.... But it used to be in the basement/fish room/man cave/basement kitchen counter.

QT? mean "Quiet Time" it's in the TV room after 8:30pm thats when my wife goes to bed. Wow it gets quiet and then I get to read.
