Yep it treats protozoans. It treats certain bacterial infections too. I had to take the stuff (yuck) for a bacterial infection once. Leave a nasty "metal" taste in one's mouth for days.

Jenn

Oh, yum!!

True. It will treat some bacterial infections and protozoans. Why are we using it for worms?

You're right, though, we go in circles with this. I just dont subscribe to using medications when there is no indication for them (as in this case, where worms are suspected). THIS is what causes medications to become ineffective over time and can impair otherwise unimpaired fish.

But to each, their own.

Alright then, what would you suggest for suspected intestinal worms? Legitimate question, I'm not being facetious.

Praziquantel and or piperazine.

I thought it was funny because I don't remember the last time I saw Jeremy joke about stuff.

I guess</em> he's joking.... :D

Jenn,
Got the pellets today, thanks for the quick ship. The pellets are small, but I still have to mash them up for the tang to eat them. But eat them he does, so hopefully this will fix it. I have not seen anything hanging out of him for a few days, hope that's a good sign.
