Which bulb?

FYI I am not sure about the 250 watt hqi ballast but the pfo brand 400 watt hqi ballast is nothing more than a 430 watt high pressure sodium ballast which I can get anyone for $130 each as a raw ballast.

I think i found it from RC. You can't go wrong with Radium 250 on M80 (HQI) ballast. Many, many people run them and love them. If I had an HQI ballast I would run them 400w style.

I just ordered some EVC 20ks that are supposed to be the same insides as the helios. Dave Acroholic has tried them and seems happy. I will let you guys know what I think. I got them from reef science.

Bought some Radiums today and love the color, except its 2 different colors.. The left looks like a 14 and the right is 20... Will it even out after burn in? Got to swap to the new reflectors I picked up today also

Its a dual 250 ballast so they should be getting the same thing..

I run 2 radiums side by side on identical ballasts and reflectors and there is a very slight difference. When I first fired them they looked totally different but after about 1 week they started to look very similar.

I think either the Radium or the Helios/EVC bulbs would work for you. My personal preference is Helios/EVC, but if they were not around I would use Radiums.
